MTEK was born out of a passion for all things automotive. As the founder I was drawn to the world of PPF when I had my car windshield protected. I was so impressed with the clarity of the film I became an instant fan. What I was not a fan of was the price. As a serial entrepreneur I simply could not understand why the cost of film was so high. I understood we had a market leading brand used on our windshield and subsequently on the body of another car but there remained a nagging feeling that the prices were not reflective of the costs. After several months of research my suspicions were proven correct. I decided we should become a player in the PPF world. We used the top 3 brands as a benchmark of what we would offer to our clients. No shortcuts were taken. We wanted to ensure what we offered was as good as, or potentially better. We used the usual parameters of measuring quality within the PPF sector. Clarity, self healing properties, thickness, anti yellowing , hydrophobic qualities, glossiness and ease with which the product could be worked with. We think we have achieved these goals and even better we have managed to keep pricing between 40-60% cheaper than our potential competitors. We aimed for the gold standard in PPF but with an affordable product in mind. Another challenge for installers is access to regular stock availability. We will ensure this is not an issue. We listened to the installer's concerns. Another issue was shipping charges. We will ship for FREE to any destination in the USA except to Hawaii and Alaska.
